A new breed of visitors are trekking to the island not to rave but to resurrect its bohemian heyday, when foreign-accented hippies stayed in ancient farmhouses (known as fincas) and lazed under the cerulean sun with their families. Jade, daughter of Mick Jagger, keeps an 18th-century finca in the village of Sant Joan and counts Kate Moss and Matthew Williamson among her guests. Fashion designers, musicians and editors like Phoebe Philo and Carine Roitfeld spend their days shopping in the maze of labyrinthine streets of Eivissa and browsing secondhand markets for vintage dresses.
